DEFYWIRE ANNOUNCES THREE NEW CLIENT SCHOOLS: GROWING COMPANY EXPANDS IN NEW MARKETS
Herndon, VA -- July 11, 2006 -- Defywire announced today that Dinwiddie County Public Schools, Spackenkill Union Free School District and Xaverian High School will use Defywire's Mobile Guardian to provide secure, real-time student information to school administrators with wireless-enabled Smartphones and PDAs.
Defywire's one-of-a-kind Mobile Guardian solution delivers secure, wireless data to school administrators, faculty, and security personnel wherever and whenever they need it – whether monitoring the halls or managing a school-wide evacuation. In an instant, school personnel can access emergency and attendance information, class schedules, grades, and other critical student information – and also record incidents, reports and information changes in real-time from the field.
Dinwiddie County Public Schools in Dinwiddie, Virginia, will be using Defywire's Mobile Guardian on Smartphones and PDAs to better monitor students and visitors in each school. Whether students are on the playground or on a field trip, administrators will know where students are at all times by using Mobile Guardian Attendance and Group Locator. Dinwiddie will also be using Mobile Guardian Visitor Log to track all visitors in the school at any given time.
Spackenkill Union Free School District in Poughkeepsie, New York, will be using Mobile Guardian on Palm® Treo Smartphones for administrators to have access to all student information, attendance and schedules for all schools in the district in real-time to increase accessibility in the event of an incident on school grounds.
Xaverian High School in Brooklyn, New York, will be using Mobile Guardian to access all student information including attendance, schedules and group locator to decrease the number of incidents of students skipping class with wireless-enabled Smartphones and PDAs.
"We are very excited about our three customers," said Jill Stelfox, CEO of Defywire, Inc. "We are experiencing a period of expanding growth as more schools realize the increased value Mobile Guardian provides them to further utilize their existing student information systems and capitalize on their investments in technology."
Defywire is the first and only company to deliver a software application to the education market that addresses administrator's need for real-time critical student information when safety and security issues arise, and its Mobile Guardian suite is compatible with many of the most commonly used student information systems, as well as with existing wireless devices.
