DEFYWIRE TO AWARD SCHOLARSHIPS: PARTNERS WITH HAMPTON ROADS YOUTH FOUNDATION TO PROVIDE TOOLS FOR EDUCATION
Herndon, VA -- June 14, 2006 -- Defywire, the premier enabler of critical student information to the K-12 education market, today announced plans to award three $1,000 scholarships at the Gridiron Legends Gala, in partnership with the Hampton Roads Youth Foundation. The scholarships will be announced at the Gridiron Legends Gala on July 13, 2006, which will celebrate the 10-year anniversary of The Peninsula All-Star Football Camp.
The scholarships recognize rising and graduating senior athletes who have demonstrated leadership in the community and a commitment to pursuing a college education. To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be a rising or graduating senior athlete, with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale, and have demonstrated leadership in school and extracurricular activities.
