John Vigallon has over 30 years experience with the drug culture. He has a Masters Degree in Clinical Counseling and is a certified as a Substance Abuse Counselor through the California Association of Alcohol and Drug Educators/Counselors.

John is the Executive Director of H.E.L.P. Adolescent Recovery and Educational Services, the President of the Northern California Juvenile Officers Association, Vice President of Project GHB.org, and Vice President of the Atwater Caring About Kids Council.

John is known internationally for his presentations on Adolescent Substance Abuse, Drugs of Sexual Assault, and Gangs on Campus. He is the drug educator for the California Association for Supervisors of Child Welfare and Attendance annual conference and has been the recipient of the California State Juvenile Officers Association’s Individual Service Award, the Directors Award from the California Youth Authority, and has been recognized by Stanford University's Center for Research in Disease Prevention for his program services. In addition to the many programs and counselors John supervises.

John has taken on the position of West Coast Marketing and Distribution Manager for Defywire’s Mobile Guardian Safety Suite. To quote John "I chose to promote this device because it is the ultimate device to have when it comes to school safety. Every school should have this program. It can make the difference between living or dying. When school districts tell me they go the extra mile for school safety, well this is the extra mile."

Rick Long

Richard (Rick) Long is a retired Deputy Sheriff, with over 20 years of Law Enforcement experience. Rick was one of the founders of the Non Profit “HELP” Program in California. He is active in the HELP Program and sits on the Board of Directors as CFO. Rick was the Law Enforcement Representative on the SARB Board for the Fremont Unified School District from 1990 to 1999 and now sits on the Board of Directors as Vice President of the NCJOA (Northern California Juvenile Officers Association). Throughout his career, Rick has focused on the youth of today. Be it, Drugs, Gangs, and now Terrorism, Rick takes on the challenge to better the youth of tomorrow. He holds a certificate in Advanced Investigations and Profiling from the STI/FBI, Background Investigations, and Arson Fire Investigations from California Fire and Anti Terrorism from NSTI.

After the shooting incident at Virginia Tech, Rick was asked to evaluate a new safety program developed by Defywire. Defywire was working on its development of new safety software called Mobile Safety Suite. In doing so, Rick made recommendations to the software developer which were accepted and are now being used in there updated program.

Rick has joined the Defywire Team with the intention of placing a much needed tool, (Defywire’s Mobile Safety Suite) in the hands of every School Law Enforcement Officer and School Staff Members, so we can keep our Children Safe and Teachers teaching in a safe environment.
